Manual throttle body adaptation:

"The Throttle is "Drive By Wire" and adapts to your particular driving style. Do a TBA Throttle body adaption).

1. Get in your car, it doesn't matter if you close the door or not.

2. Turn the key to the on position, the position just before the starter turns over.

3. Press the gas pedal to the floor with the key in the "on" position.

4. Hold the pedal to the floor for five seconds, then turn the key back to the "off" position(don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal.

5. Wait 2 mins. for a full alignment. During this time you may hear very faint noises and clicks. I
only heard one sitting in my car, if I got out and popped the hood I might hear more.

6. Drive the car as you always do.

Depending on your driving style, this may or may not be a big factor. I do a lot of city driving so
I noticed a big change after erasing my history. It is not hard to do this, just follow the
instructions - Key on, pedal down, 5 sec, key off pedal up, wait 2 minutes.

Keep the key in for the entire thing. "

Será??? Nem sei!!!

Parece que é para "afinar" o acelerador...

It is recommended after the following:
-Battery change
-ECU flash
-Upgraded software
-ECU removal

Many times, the callibration gets out of wack, causing non predictable power delivery and imprecise acceleration (you are flooring it, but the drive by wire feature is only allowing 3/4 power delivery) and sputtering power.

Adaptation is a multi-step process of calibrating the pedal-to-throttle proportionality with appropriate maps in the ECU. During this process, the ECU moves the throttle valve stepwise from its idle position to wide open. That's why the engine cannot be running during adaptation.

Throttle Body Alignment
Updated 7 Apr. 2006

Ross-Tech is not responsible for any damage or problems that may result from following these instructions. They are to be used at your own risk. As always, you should refer to a Factory Repair Manual for your vehicle!

This procedure details how to perform a Throttle Body Alignment (TBA) on many VW/Audi vehicles. This procedure cycles the motorized throttle body through various states (idle, part throttle, WOT) to relearn their positions. Some examples of reasons to perform a TBA:

The vehicle's battery has been disconnected and re-connected

The ECU has been removed and reinstalled

The Throttle Body has been cleaned or removed and reinstalled

The Accelerator Pedal has been removed and reinstalled

In some vehicles, the car will not run correctly, or may not run at all without performing a TBA after one of the above operations. The TBA can be performed on both Drive-By-Wire (DBW or E-gas) as well as Cable-throttle cars as long as there is no Idle Stabilization Valve (ISV). If there is an ISV, then there is no motorized control of the throttle at all. Typically, '96-'99 VW/Audi have motorized Cable-throttle, and '00+ VW/Audi have DBW. Obviously, there are some exceptions. This should be obvious but TDI's do not have throttle bodies.

estranho. ele apenas diz que nao temos throttle bodies. mas temos DBW e esta afinação tem a ver com calibração do sensor que tomos temos no pedal de acelerador. não percebo porque é que é obvio que nos TDI não dá...
