Tim Schrick Is The Stig?
According to autoblog.nl, the Top Gear crew was caught while on location by a video-camera-wielding fan-boy of the show outside the race track. It was there they caught a glimpse, Bigfoot-like, of a driver in white racing gear similar to that worn by our Stiggie. More importantly, he was carrying a matching white helmet. The Dutch fan-boys at the site all over this whole blogging about cars thing have identified the chap as none other than former Volkswagen Polo racer Tim Schrick. Wait, a German? No way. There's no way a German could talk so many Brits around the Top Gear track at Dunsfold Park. Inconceivable. If this is true, the producers might as well just change his name to Das Stigenwehrfer and get Max Mosley to be his goose-stepping assistant. Hmm, that makes us wonder — you think he makes stars coming into his reasonably priced car say "Jawohl, mein Führenstiggie!"
No, Tim Schrick Is Not One Of The Stigs

Contrary to what various automotive websites are reporting, no Tim Schrick of Germany’s D-Motor is not one of the multiple people (yes, there is more than one) who are or have played the Stig. Besides his white racing suit being a different type, he was in Belgium (along with Sabine) for a Top Gear versus D-Motor competition as mentioned by Andy Wilman earlier.
The Stig has been revealed as Ben Collins
It was reported last week that The Stig, the famous secret Top Gear driver, was a married man in his 30s who lives in a £300,000 house ($434,656 USD) and drives a £15,000 car ($21,732). After many months and years of speculation, the true identity of The Stig has been revealed today as 33-year old former Formula Three, Le Mans, GT and NASCAR racer from Bristol - Ben Collins. He supposedly revealed his identity to two Bristol gallery owners who he had asked to help him produce a limited-edition print of The Stig in action.
“I was absolutely amazed when he said he was The Stig, it was quite a big thing in a weird way,” said gallery owner Simon Whitehead.
Jason Goody, a Bristol builder, also reported last week that he saw The Stig’s suit and gloves on display at Collins house during some work he was doing at his house last week.
Perry McCarthy, the original black Stig, was “killed off” after his true identity was revealed. A Top Gear spokesman said: “We never comment on speculation as to who or what The Stig is.”
We’re just wondering what color the next Stig will be.
